PENGGUNAAN METODE LEARNING STARTS WITH A QUESTION PADA MATA KULIAH BAHASA INGGRIS III UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN MEMBACA TEKS ARGUMENTASI

Abstract


This research aimed to describe the use of Learning Starts with a Question method (LSQ) in ‘Bahasa  Inggris III’ subject to improve of reading comprehension in argumentation text  on fourth students of Pendidikan Agama Islam program  class D in Tarbiyah  and Tadris faculty of  State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Bengkulu. This research was used a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of this research is the fourth students’ class D consist of 27 students (8 students of male and 19 students of female). Techniques of data analysis done by the score of reading comprehension on answers these questions based on argumentation text in pre-assessment, cycle I, and cycle II. The results showed that by using Learning Starts with a Question method (LSQ) in learning process especially in reading comprehension was affective. Then, the mean score of the students in pre-assessment 53.33, cycle I 64.07, and cycle II 73.70.
