Optimalisasi Supervisi Kepala Madrasah Terhadap Peningkatan Motivasi Kerja Guru di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Pidie Jaya

Abstract


The motivation of the teacher's work at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Pidie Jaya has not been optimal, it can be seen that there are still teachers who do not have the desire, will, drive, stimulation, and spirit in doing optimal work. Optimal supervision of madrasah heads is a determining factor in the high level of teacher performance motivation. This research aims to explain the form, implementation and impact of optimizing the supervision of madrasah heads on increasing the motivation of teacher work in Matrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Pidie Jaya. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. With the technique of collecting observation data, documentation and direct interviews with one madrasah head, one deputy head of curriculum and 14 (fourteen) teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Pidie Jaya. The results showed that optimizing the supervision of madrasah heads can increase teacher work motivation. It can be concluded as follows: First, the form of supervision carried out by the head of the madrasah is coaching, guidance, direction and supervision, both from preparation, and the manufacture of learning devices in the form of program planning, program implementation, assessment, evaluation and follow-up of supervision results. Second, the implementation of supervision in general has been optimal, the head of the madrasah has carried out supervision such as; have conducted teacher administration checks up to supervise directly into the classroom, so that the teacher board is motivated in working. Third, optimization of supervision of madrasah heads in general has a good impact, especially there is an increase in understanding and clarity of the main tasks, functions and responsibilities of teachers, so as to facilitate learning activities ranging from preparation to implementation of planning programs, implementation, assessment to follow-up learning outcomes. So that it can be recommended to increase work motivation, optimize the supervision of the head of the madrasah.
